Just as i might eat outside, i post on this website
Eating outside is being with the people. its seeng people as they walk by. theres something beautiful about making a meal in your kitchen, then taking a beer and a plate out to your stoop and eating there. Or eating a shawarma on a park bench. we eat to survive, and eating outside, in public, where people can see you get sauce on your face is a clear symbol of trusting and being among the people.
Here on this website i post what im thinking about, i post what im looking at on the internet, and i post what i see [1][2]. This is an attempt to make my thoughts public, to upload my own consciousness, however that can be interpreted, to the internet. This isn't any more radical of an idea than having a blog, but this is what it is. Most importantly, all of the content that is accessed on this site is accessed via a server that I own. For a long time I've thought about running the server on my own - I have my own linux box that I could hook up in my apartment.
The problem is travelling- i travel so often and do other shit outside so I wonder if having a physical box with me would even be a good thing.
I just imagined carrying around a backpack with a 5g connection, a raspverry pi running the server, creating a mobile web server. then i could do it anywhere. i could run it on solar panels. or i could charge it.
i could add solar panels to my van and run a server out of the van.
The van is having problems though, the brakes sound weird and i need to get the transmission checked and im using a spare tire and i need an oil change
